Oh Sheetz!

Sheetz M.T.O. is a chain of gas stations that have a grill. I figured I'd try a cheesesteak there the other day, not expecting much. Boy was I mistaken! It was a very good cheesesteak and I will repeat. The ordering process is easy too; a touch screen and the service is quick.

My Old Stand By

Had a hankering for a cheesesteak Saturday night, as I often do. I didn't want to drive too far so I headed up to Jersey Mikes in Chardon. I have been there many times before. The cheesesteak was good and the service was fast. It is a place I have always counted on, and they haven't diappointed me yet.

Keeping my belly full

So lately I've been frequenting Philly's Famous located at 1250 N. Alma School Rd. in Chandler AZ, which happily is only about 2 miles from my house. Upon entering, you notice the Philly memorabilia: Eagles, Flyers, Phillies stuff on the walls, as well as historic pictures of Philadelphia.
This time I got a 12 inch cheesesteak with whiz and some french fries, and was very happy with everything.



Honestly, I've probably been here at least two times a week since I've found out about it, and haven't ever had a bad experience.

Success in Mentor

I took a ride up to Tommy's Subs in Mentor. I have been there before and had a feeling I would be pleased. I was correct. It was a very tasty cheesesteak. A little greasy, but that's ok with me.

Hot Dogs in Warren

Headed down to Warren, OH in search of cheesesteaks. Had two places in mind. Both were closed. OH SNAP! Three words came to mind - Hot Dog Shoppe. I headed over and was not disappointed. Their service is fast and the food is good. I am giving them scores of 8 because this is a cheesesteak scale, and these aren't cheesesteaks. If I was using a hot dog scale, it would be 10's all around.

Youngstown Switch-a-Roo

Headed down to Yougstown, OH to Philly's All American Cheesesteak. Almost an hour drive, but I had to head in that direction anyway. Never been there before. I had no problem finding it; there was a sign on the road and above the restaurant. Walked up to the entrance - OH SNAP - it had changed management and was a different restaurant with a different menu. But they did have cheesesteaks and cheese fries. I asked for Cheez Wiz and they had that too. The sandwich wasn't that great. The fries were awesome. I'd go again if it was nearby, but won't drive an hour for it.
